I was due with Lupe. I was swollen and big and hated the uncertainty. Now, a year later I look back and am amazed. It’s hard work, all the juggling of a social life/ work/ caring for her etc./ but I have nothing to complain about. I need to hold myself to it- no complaints. She’s funny. She’s happy. She’s healthy (she’s not calling me mama yet but it’s all good). As we grow our family over the next few years, we’ll see what happens. I’ll try to focus on it one year at a time instead of planning for 20 now. LIG. ry%3D480

Two things

I was out for a drink with a friend last night when the woman next to me at the bar, REALLY said this, loudly, to the bartender, walking by…

Lady: “Two things!”
… (seriously, no “excuse me” or “bartender?” as he walked by)

Lady: “Number One, you never brought us our water. Number two,
what nationality are you, we’re trying to figure it out?”
Bartender: “Oh, ok. I’m sorry.”

My brain: “huh? what? What the heck is this lady saying. I really can’t believe she just yelled that out at the bartender.”

Bartender: “I’m American.”
Lady: “No I mean what is your heritage?”
Bartender: “My mother is Japanese”
Lady: “Oh,ok.”

This woman needs some major work with addressing people with respect and basic social interaction. I wonder if she could have seen a clip of herself and hear and saw how she sounded and acted? What would she think? Is it ever ok to be abrasive? She came across so rude, it’s nuts.

It’s disturbing to think about all those moments, when we’re not so proud of how we acted. Can you imagine if they all were on video? I would not want to see some of those clips. I’ve had my moments for sure.

Hopefully when I ask a stranger a question I’ll say excuse me and please. I am a good person, yay (kidding).

Lots of hair

E bomber has enough hair for a Barret now. Pretty exciting.

Can you say, sweet?  Look, I’m not saying that it’s fun to

dress up kids like dolls or play things, but if you are

utterly in love with your child (as most parents are)

it’s quite fun to see them looking so frigging cute.

Not sure if I spelled Barret correctly.

Workplace environment

Would you be more creative or more productive if you worked

at a company that had this?

It looks fun but I am not sure if this would make me enjoy my work more.

New workout

My trainer recommended interval running the other day. Between my
boring jogs and his urging that I try- I went for it Saturday at the gym. It’s a fantastic
way to get your heart rate up fast and have a quicker workout. You run at your
normal pace for 2 minutes then you do 30-60 seconds (depending on how your
hearts feels!) at a high intensity near-sprint. Then you go back to your regular
pace and repeat the process for 25- 30 minutes. By 4 minutes I was winded. It
was tough but made the workout go fast and I enjoyed the challenge.

It’s easier on a treadmill but I tried it road running yesterday and it
was tricky. Since you don’t have the treadmill pulling your legs to
a higher speed you have to mentally prepare for the upcoming push.
For me, it required a lot of concentration during the sprints to make sure
I didn’t fall back to the easier pace.  I think the idea of a 212 effort helped
me maintain the faster speed during the sprints, although at times I spaced
out and realized I was running slower than I should be.
Here’s a 3 minute video about the 212 idea of  effort: http://www.just212.com/video/ .

It’s a video based on a book that my boss Sam wrote.

a gyrating bowl

If you buy this for your kid you are stupid (below).

I’m sorry, please let me rephrase.

In my opinion, if you buy this product for your kid, it might not be the best use of your money.

I don’t owe $8,000.00

Due to an incorrect stock form from our broker in 2007, we messed up our taxes,

got audited and owed the IRS $8k. My sweet husband has spent the past few nights

working on the numbers and we only owe $200. I’m mailing the addendum
petition tomorrow. I hope that will be the end of it.

So did I save $7,800 or loose $200? Either way I am EXCITED!
